Ask Divergify — the assistant

The bar at the top of the screen is the assistant. Press it, press Ctrl + K (Cmd + K), or just start typing into it — the first character opens the full view and goes into the input.

Ask it two kinds of thing:

• About your day. "When is my next appointment?", "Which tasks am I late on?", "What's the weather tomorrow?", "I have 15 minutes, what should I do?"
• About the app. "How do I add a mailbox?", "What is the Radar?", "How do I get reminders on my phone?" — it searches this help centre and answers from it, with a link to the article.

Three rules it works by

It never invents your data. Every answer about your day comes from reading your actual tasks, calendar, weather or focus history. If it cannot check something — a date outside the range it can read, for instance — it says it couldn't check, never that you have nothing on.

It asks before it changes anything. Ask it to create a task or an event and it does not do it. It shows a confirmation card naming exactly what will happen, and only the Confirm button makes it real. Cancel and nothing happened.

That includes actions that change nothing but move you: opening a task, opening an event, starting a focus session. Being sent somewhere unexpectedly is disruptive enough to be worth a question — and if a focus session is running, the card warns you that confirming will interrupt it.

It never decides for you what to work on. Ask "what should I do now?" and it reports the same deterministic pick the Cockpit already shows, with the same reason. It does not rank your tasks, does not offer an alternative unless you ask, and does not volunteer that you are behind on something. One question, one answer.

Why it is often instant

Common questions are answered locally, on your device, without calling a model at all: your next appointment, overdue tasks, the weather, today's schedule, your focus stats, and anything answered by this help centre. Those cost nothing, work offline, and come back in milliseconds.

Anything else goes to the model. There is a daily limit on those; when you reach it, it tells you plainly and the quick local questions keep working.

Chats

Conversations are kept in the left sidebar. New chat starts a fresh one; the bin icon deletes one. Each chat titles itself from your first question.

What it will not do

It has no access to the content of your emails, and it cannot send one. It cannot delete anything. It cannot change a setting. The tools it can reach are a short, fixed list — reading your tasks, calendar, weather, brain dump, focus stats and this documentation, plus proposing a task, an event, a focus session or opening something.

If you want a general conversation instead — drafting, thinking out loud, code — that is the AI chat widget, which does not read your board at all.
