Countdown — deadlines that don't sneak up

A list of dates that matter, each showing how many days are left. The tax return, the renewal, the exam, the flight, the thing you said you would do "by the end of the month".

Why a separate widget

Time blindness does not mean forgetting a date. It means the date staying flat and abstract until, overnight, it is urgent. A number that visibly counts down turns "some time in April" into something you can feel from a distance — which is when doing something about it is still cheap.

Using it

Add a deadline, give it a title, a date and a colour. The card shows "in {n} days", "today", or how many days it is overdue.

Colours are for grouping at a glance — work in one colour, personal in another, the truly non-negotiable in red.

From a task

A to-do with a due date can be turned into a countdown, and the countdown then shows a → To-Do mark linking it back. Use it for the handful of things where the deadline is the whole problem — you do not need every task in here, and a countdown widget with thirty entries is just a second to-do list with more anxiety.

In the Cockpit

The Deadline cell shows the nearest one, so the countdown is visible even if the widget itself is in the Radar.
