Habits — streaks that keep momentum
A short list of daily habits, ticked off in one press, with a streak counter.
A list of things you are trying to do every day, each with a streak — how many days in a row you have managed it.
Using it
Add a habit and give it a name. Each day, press it once to mark it done; press again to undo if you got it wrong. The header shows "{done}/{total} done today".
About the streak
The streak is a motivator, not a debt. Divergify does not punish a broken one, does not colour it red, and does not show you a graph of the days you missed. It counts up while you are going, and starts again when you start again.
Keep the list short — three or four. A habits widget with eleven entries is a list you stop opening, which is the opposite of the point.
Habits vs Routine
- Habits are independent things, tracked over time: drink water, walk, meds, journal.
- [Routine](/help/widget-routine) is one ordered sequence you run once per day and reset each morning: the launch sequence that gets you from waking up to working.
Both can be on the board at the same time; they answer different questions.
In the Cockpit
The Cockpit's Habits cell shows your best current streak, so the progress stays visible even with the widget in the Radar.
