Connect Google Calendar

Press Connect Calendar in the Calendar widget. Google asks you to sign in and to approve the access, and you come straight back to your board with your real agenda in place.

What it asks for

Two permissions, both about your calendar:

• See your calendars and events — to show your agenda.
• Create and change events — so you can add an event from the board, and drag one to another time.

That is the whole list.

What it deliberately does not ask for

Nothing about Gmail. Divergify does not request access to your Gmail account, and that is a permanent decision rather than a gap. Mail is read over plain IMAP instead — see Connect a mailbox.

We never see your Google password. Divergify holds a token that can be revoked at any time, from your Google account or from here.

"Google hasn't verified this app"

You may see a warning screen during sign-in. It means Google's review of the app is still in progress; it is a statement about the review queue, not about what the app does with your data.

You can proceed via Advanced → Go to Divergify, or wait for the verification to complete. Either way, the permissions you grant are only the two listed above.

Disconnecting

Two ways, both complete:

• In Divergify — disconnect from the Calendar widget.
• In Google — myaccount.google.com → Security → Your connections to third-party apps, and remove Divergify. This works even if you can no longer sign in here, which is the right property for an escape hatch to have.

Disconnecting stops the access immediately. Events you created stay in your Google Calendar — they are yours, in your calendar, and were never only inside Divergify.
