Your first five minutes

The first time you open Divergify you get three questions. They take about thirty seconds and they exist so you land on a board that already looks like yours, instead of an empty grid you have to furnish before you can use anything.

The three questions

1. What makes you lose the thread? Pick everything that rings true — email piling up, appointments you forget, a thousand things to do, thoughts arriving all at once, habits that don't stick, staying focused. Each answer adds the widgets that deal with it.
2. What do you want to see the moment you open it? Whatever you pick gets the biggest tile, top left, where your eyes land first.
3. Here's your board. Drop anything you don't want before you go in.

Nothing here is permanent. You can add, remove, resize and rearrange every widget afterwards, and no answer locks you out of anything.

You can skip the wizard entirely — the button is in the bottom left. You will get the default board: to-dos, calendar, email, brain dump, an AI chat and the focus timer.

The guided tour

Right after the three questions a short tour starts: one stop at a time it lights up the Cockpit, ONE THING NOW, the Today strip, your widgets, Live Cockpit, the assistant and help. Nothing advances on its own — Next (or →) moves on, Back (or ←) returns.

You can leave it whenever you like, in two ways:

• × or Esc closes it for now. Next time you open Divergify it picks up from the stop where you left it (it offers itself three times at most, then waits for you).
• Don't show it again closes it for good, on every device you use.

To take it again, open help (the ? at the top right, or the ? key) and choose Take the guided tour.

The Live Cockpit stops describe the board you actually have. With Live Cockpit on, they show the stage and the Radar; with it off, where to turn it on. The tour never switches it on or off for you.

Running it again

Changed your mind about the whole layout? Open your profile and use Replay the walkthrough. It asks the same three questions and rebuilds the board from your new answers.

Careful with one thing: replaying rebuilds the layout. It does not delete your tasks, notes or events — those belong to their widgets, not to the arrangement.

First steps

Under the Cockpit you will see a small strip with three goals: create a task, try the assistant, make the board yours. It is a checklist, not a tutorial — do them in any order, or dismiss the strip with the × and it never comes back.

Each one ticks itself when you actually do the thing: the assistant goal, for instance, ticks the first time you ask it a real question, not when you merely open it.
