The board — add, arrange, resize
How to add and remove widgets, drag them into order, pin the important ones and expand a tile to 2 or 4 blocks.
The grid under the Cockpit is yours. Everything on this page is a per-user setting: changing it affects nothing but your own screen, and there is no "correct" arrangement.
Add a widget
Press + Add widget — the dashed tile at the end of the grid, or the + in the Radar band. The picker shows everything available, with a short description of each.
Some widgets can be added more than once:
- AI chat — as many as you like, each with its own model.
- Messages — one per channel.
- Email (IMAP) — up to 6, one mailbox per tile.
Everything else is a singleton: once it is on the board, the picker greys it out.
Remove one (and get it back)
Hover a tile and press the × in the top right. A toast appears with Undo — it puts the widget back in the same position, with the same size, pin state and custom title.
Removing a tile does not delete its content. Take the Email widget off the board and add it back, and it finds its mailbox again; the same is true of tasks, notes and everything else.
Move things around
Drag a tile by its top edge (roughly the first 44 pixels) and drop it where you want it. The rest of the tile stays clickable, so dragging never fights with the widget's own buttons.
Pinned widgets always lead, in the order you pinned them, and the rest follow in your drag order.
The "…" menu
Hover a tile and press ⋮ in the top right for the per-widget options:
- How this widget works — opens this help, on that widget's page.
- Report a bug or an idea — a report already tagged with the widget you were in.
- Expand to 2 blocks / Back to 1 block — for widgets that support the wide shape.
- Expand to hero (2×2) / Back to normal size — the biggest tile. Available on To-Do, Calendar and Email.
- Pin to top / Unpin — up to 6 pinned. Pinned tiles get an accent ring and always sort first.
Rename a widget
Click the widget's title in its header and type. Call the Email tile "Work" and the second one "Personal"; call the calendar "Studio". The custom title is yours only, and clearing it restores the original name.
Sizes, briefly
| Shape | What it is |
|---|---|
| 1 block | The default square. |
| 2 blocks | Twice as wide, same height. Good for lists and inboxes. |
| Hero (2×2) | Four times the area. To-Do and Calendar start this way on a new board. |
If the grid gets long, look at Live Cockpit: it keeps every widget on one screen instead of making you scroll for them.
