Tab Stash — park a tab, keep the reason

Forty open tabs are not disorganisation. Each one is an unfinished thought you cannot close because closing it would lose the thought — so they accumulate until the browser is unusable and you declare bankruptcy on all of them at once.

Tab Stash closes them with the thought attached.

Stashing a link

Paste one or more URLs into the field and press Stash. Multiple links at once are fine; invalid ones are skipped and it tells you how many.

Then add the note: why was this open? That is the whole feature. "React docs" tells you nothing in a week; "the useEffect cleanup thing for the calendar bug" lets you close the tab and actually pick it back up.

Where things live

• Inbox — freshly stashed, not sorted yet.
• Groups — sorted into themes.
• Archive — done with, but kept. Unarchive brings anything back.

Search covers links, notes and group names at once.

Grouping with AI

Group with AI reads your inbox and sorts the links into themed groups, naming each one. Anything it can't place goes under Ungrouped rather than being forced somewhere wrong. See AI features.

On a group you then get Open all, → single task (one to-do for the whole group) and Archive group.

Getting links in from elsewhere

Import bookmarks — export an HTML bookmarks file from your browser and drop it on the widget. In Chrome: select the tabs → Add all to bookmarks → export → drop the file here.

The Stash bookmarklet — drag the button to your bookmarks bar. One click on any page stashes it, without opening Divergify. It confirms with "Saved to Tab Stash. You can close this tab."

The browser extension — if you use the Divergify Tab Catcher extension, pair it from your profile: Generate pairing token, copy it once (it is not shown again), paste it into the extension. Revoke unpairs it at any time.

From a link to a task

→ Task turns any stashed link into a to-do, note and all. That is the natural end of a stash: it was never really a tab, it was a thing to do.
